Payment acceptance behind TSYS
TSYS is a card processing and acquiring platform, part of Global Payments, and many merchant accounts in North America settle on it without the business ever seeing the name. Kubera deploys payment acceptance into TSYS environments: terminals, gateway configuration, reporting, training and a cutover with no downtime.
What TSYS is
TSYS is the processing platform underneath many merchant accounts in Canada and the United States. It authorizes and settles card transactions for the acquirers and banks that sell those accounts, which means a business can run on TSYS through a bank, a processor or an agent and never deal with TSYS directly. It has been part of Global Payments since 2019.
What we deploy into it
Kubera is not a TSYS agent. TSYS is one of the systems we deploy payment acceptance into when a business already runs on it and keeping the platform is the right fit. The work is the same as on any other platform: boarding, terminal selection and rollout, gateway configuration where a gateway sits between the point of sale and the platform, reporting that reconciles the way your bookkeeper expects, and training. The cutover runs with no downtime, and the system your staff use does not change.
Where a gateway is part of the environment, we configure it. Where terminals are the whole story, we deploy them. Either way, nothing is rebuilt that does not need to be.
What to read on your current statement
The platform does not set your pricing. The agreement written on top of it does. Read your statement for whether card fees are shown as interchange plus a visible margin or as a blended rate, for how premium and corporate cards are priced against basic ones, and for the monthly, equipment and per item lines around the edges. Then send it to us. We read it line by line and come back with what you are paying and whether the structure fits how you run. If keeping the platform is the right technical fit, that is what we recommend.
Who this suits
Established businesses with a customized or robust system already settling on TSYS, who want terminals, configuration and training handled by a Canadian based team: multi location retail, hospitality groups and B2B businesses invoicing by card. Smaller businesses are welcome as well; there is simply less system to deploy around.
Ask about your system
The list of systems we deploy into is available on request. Tell us what you run and we will tell you what the deployment would involve.
Common questions
Is Kubera a TSYS agent?
No. Kubera is a registered agent of Elavon Canada Company, Worldline, Planet, Windcave and Authorize.net. TSYS is one of the processing platforms we deploy payment acceptance into.
How do I know if my account runs on TSYS?
Often it is not obvious, because the platform sits behind the bank or processor that sold you the account. It usually shows up in the review. Send a recent statement and we identify the platform along with what you are paying.
Does deploying into TSYS mean changing my point of sale?
No. We do not replace point of sale systems. Terminals, gateway configuration, reporting and training go in behind the system you already run, and the cutover is planned so there is no downtime.
What happens after the review?
You get what you are paying, line by line, and a recommendation for the right technical fit. Sometimes that is keeping the platform and the agreement exactly as they are. Where a change is the right fit, the margin is quoted in writing before anything is scheduled.

Start with an exploratory call
Before numbers mean anything, we need to know which systems you run and what you want the deployment to achieve. That conversation is where it starts.
